Self-taught artist, Sakshi works on minimalism and the imperfect through abstract collages.
Sakshi Modi (born in 1996) is a self-taught artist. Her work demonstrates minimalism that captures the "sense of perfectly imperfection". She tries to reflect the idea that nothing is perfect opposing to the admiration of perfection that everyone wants to seek.
Ellsworth Kelly and Henri Matisse are her major inspirations. She echoes the words of Kelly : "I think what we all want from art is a sense of fixity, a sense of opposing the chaos of daily living".
She believes art defines the freedom to make your own creation because you are not bound with rules. Art is healing. Art is good even when the unexpected happens; it’s all extempore for her.
